Challenge
A change in this multi-national organisation’s focus to pursue more technology based opportunities resulted in the need for a more aligned project support function. The current model could not provide the flexibility to support the fluctuating demands of the business.
Action
An evaluation of the existing operating model identified gaps in the processes and an inflexible resourcing structure. A new operating model was defined and a strategic capability plan developed, incorporating a resourcing and supply chain model.
Outcome
The company now has a project systems support operating model providing the desired skills, breadth and scalability required to better pursue future opportunities.
